I am Amy, the new intern at One Heart Church.
Have you ever thought about becoming a church intern? I felt God was calling me over the course of 8+ months; everything prayed over me was telling me that something big was going to happen soon. I have no idea what ‘soon’ meant, so I decided to prepare by immersing myself in as much of God’s Community as possible. Daily devotions, being involved in different teams, reading the bible, and of course, praying.
Then one day, I was informed that I was, despite being under 18, eligible for the internship. I didn’t think much on it at first, but one Sunday the sermon was about being involved in the church, and I remembered the internship. After that, I couldn’t get the idea out of my head!
Everything I’ve heard about the program has been amazing. Previous Interns in our church has learned so much about the inner workings of the church, and about themselves. I love learning and am determined to grow as much as possible over the next couple of years, so the Internship and Bible College is exactly what I need. At my church I am a leader in our youth ministry and have been for just over a year now. It has been a privilege and a pleasure to serve the church and my peers in this way, and the Internship opens so many more opportunities to serve in ways I wouldn’t have thought of or have access to otherwise.
As a part of the Internship at One Heart we undertake full time Certificate IV in Ministry through Alphacrucis College, and we give one day of work to the Church.
I feel so lucky to be in a position to serve God in this way.
All the Best;
